
David Faulkner
Head Coach
Coach David Faulkner is a
native of Brewton, Alabama and a graduate of T.R. Miller High School and
Troy University (1996).
He began his coaching career at Clarke
County High School in Grove Hill, Alabama. While at Clarke County he
served as wide receivers coach and Defensive Coordinator.
After Clarke County, Coach Faulkner moved
to newly opened Alma Bryant High School which was created by the joining
of Grand Bay and Alba High Schools.
While at Alma Bryant, Faulkner served as
QB/RB Coach as well as Offensive Coordinator and eventually Head Coach
in 2001. In 2002
Faulkner moved to Prattville High School where he served as Assistant
Head Coach and Quarterback Coach as well as running the Lions’ Strength
Program. After the
2002 season, Coach Faulkner joined the Hoover Program. While at Hoover,
Coach Faulkner served as the Defensive Back Coach in 2003 and the
Offensive Coordinator/Quarterback Coach for the 2004/2006 seasons.
During his tenure at Hoover, Coach Faulkner and the Bucs won state
championships in 2003, 2004, 2005 while finishing runner-up in 2006.
In 2006, the Bucs were ranked #1 in the
county by USA Today and Sports Illustrated for the first five weeks of
the season. In 2007 Faulkner joined the staff at Foley High School where
he served for two years as the Lions’ Offensive Coordinator and Strength
and Conditioning Coach. The Lions went 19-5 in these two years and were
Region Champs in 2007 and Co-Champions in 2008.
In March of 2009, Coach Faulkner became the
Athletic Director/Head Football Coach at Fairhope High School. Coach
Faulkner is married to the former Christie Garrett of Montgomery,
Alabama. They have three Children: Garrett (11), Grayson (8) and
Caroline (5). |
